The Tigard Youth Advisory Council was formed in 2003 as the official advisory body on youth issues to the Tigard City Council. The TYAC’s (Tigard Youth Advisory Council) goal is to empower Tigard’s youth and give them a voice in the community. The council is made up of 15 residents of the City of Tigard who attend schools around Washington County. The president of the TYAC is an ex-officio member of the Tigard City Council. TYAC members also serve as non-voting members of other boards and committees.
